The Skillstreaming Video
How to Teach Students Prosocial Skills
Dr. Arnold P. Goldstein and Dr. Ellen McGinnis
This widely used staff training video is designed for teachers and school counseling staff
who work with students who display aggression, immaturity, withdrawal, or other problem
behaviors. It illustrates the concepts and training procedures contained in the books
Skillstreaming the Adolescent and Skillstreaming the Elementary School Child. A free copy
of each book accompanies the video. The video contains footage of actual training sessions
that show Dr. Goldstein and Dr. Ellen McGinnis working with small groups of adolescents
and elementary students. The students learn specific prosocial skills, such as resisting
peer pressure, dealing with teasing, and responding to an accusation.
